3rd Season at Cobb Atlanta
2009-2010 15 Blue Head Coach
Ileana has been playing volleyball for 10 years now. She attended Wheeler High School and played for the wildcats for 4 years, she was a Varsity starter for two years. While in high school Ileana also played for Cobb Atlanta her junior year and North Atlanta her senior year. She attended Georgia Southern University and was the co-founder of the Women's club volleyball team. Ileana was the libero for the Georgia Southern University club team for 4 years where she led the Eagles in digs and also helped them go to Nationals 2008 in Dallas Texas. The Eagles are now ranked 21 in the country. Ileana graduated with a Sport Management degree in 2008. Ileana is currently a community coach at Wheeler High School. Ileana is planning on going back to school and getting her Masters in Education and my plan is to become a high school ESOL teacher. I would like to continue coaching High School volleyball and starting the Junior Volleyball program at East Cobb Middle School.
"Ileana is so much fun. She keeps great stats, which allows the girls to receive feedback on specifics vs. general recollections of the games. She has a warmth that makes the girls, and parents, feel accepted and makes them look forward to coming to practice even on those days you'd rather be doing something else."
