 Get ready for the Peachtree Classic this weekend. I know everyone will bring their best to the court. A reminder that Coach Kate will have your stats from the season so far for you to review on Monday. I will be doing monthly player evaluations....so come prepared to tell me what you want to work on this month. I have seem such a great improvement from all of you since tryouts. I hope you remember what I said during your first evaluations..."If you are improving this much already, I can't wait to see what you will look like in a few months." Well, its been a few months and you look awesome. Be very proud of your success. You put in a lot of hard work to get this far. 

REMEMBER-14-3 IS JUST A NUMBER!

Blue Takes Bronze

After a crazy weekend of snow, rain and lots of schedule changes the 14 Blue are the Bronze Champions! We had a few heartbreaking losses and many amazing wins to take Bronze. We had fun swimming in the ocean, buriying each other in sand, playing games in the hotel room and playing united as a team. We played great against the 14 Red and made them work for every point. I can't wait to see the pictures of our "mermaids" and "mermen".

Going to the Gulf

As the Gulf Shores tournament comes near, I know excitment is growing. We will discuss our itinerary tonight at practice. After our huge success last touranment it is time to focus and show Gulf Shores what 14 Blue can do! I want this to be a fun trip for everyone, but really we are there to kick some volleyball butt:)

14 Blue is the winner of the Silver bracket at the NAVC tourney this weekend. After literally 12 1/2 hours in the gym (8am-830pm) we came out the winners, playing 6 teams total. We beat out Tsunami 14-1 for the title in 2 games. Thank you to all the parents for cheering us on all day and being an awesome support system. Congrads to our team....we are proof that 14-3 is just a number! We proved that we are the team to look out for this season.

As a proud coach I must tell you that we won in a mini scrimage against the 15-2 team last night in practice. 14 Blue played great, kept up the energy and most importantly....had fun! If we can do this great against a 15 team imagine how awesome we will do at Saturday's tourney. Here is all your info. Please wear your RED jerseys.

We are playing at Strickly Volleyball:
take I-75 north to I-575 north,
travel approx. 10 miles and exit at Sixes Rd, turn right, go to Hwy 5, turn right, travel approx. 100 yards and turn left onto E. Rope Mill, travel to the end of the road and you come to a warehouse, go around back to park and the entrance door is on the left of the bldg.(500 East Rope Mill Rd.)

We will need to meet at 7:45AM - to make most of the parents happy we will meet at Starbucks!! Their address is 3241 Sixes Rd. - you will need to turn left off of 575N and  go about 1 to 1 1/2 mile and it will be on your left.

 

Making Great Progress

We offically came in 5th at our first tournament in Chattanooga! You should be very proud of your achievement. We just did player eveluations again and you have made awesome gains in just a month! Everyone's serving has improved.....especially Julie and Erica! I was very happy to review your stats from our last tournament and see how much your skills have improved. I can't wait to see how much better you will get in the upcoming months. Keep up the good work and positive attitude.

We will meet at the McDonalds at 8am SHARP. You will need time to warm up and wake up. We play at 9am until.....we win:) Have fun in your first tournament and look sharp in your new uniforms!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas break and is ready to get back in the gym. Friday the 8th is our CAJ Club dinner at Kell at 7pm. You will get your uniforms and other clothing at the dinner. Our CAJ club play day is Saturday the 9th at Kell and we play at 945am, but please arrive at 915am to warm up. I am excited for our first tournament in Chattanooga on the 16th:)
